In her series The Aftermaths, Anna-Lena Krause examines the sociological and cultural phenomena that shape today’s youth. Over a period of several years, she photographed her friends on their way home after spending one or more sleepless nights out clubbing. She captures in this moment of exhaustion something “real”, something free of the ideas we have of ourselves, influenced as they are by the society in which we live. Anna-Lena Krause is a photographer and visual artist. Her works call into question notions of human diversity and community, focusing on identity and interpersonal relationships.
